FORT WORTH, Texas - No. 8 TCU opens its home campaign Saturday morning when it hosts No. 7 Oklahoma State at Turning Point Ranch, beginning at 10:00 p.m. CT.
The Horned Frogs come into this weekend with a 2-1 overall record and 0-1 mark in Big 12 Conference play after falling to No. 1 Baylor in their last outing, 11-8.
"The winning effort and enthusiasm from our team is contagious and energizing," said Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. "We plan to continue with strong rides and correct a few small mistakes from last week's meet. We are more than excited to continue Big 12 Conference play as well as show off the amazing improvements to Turning Point Ranch. This meet will be a "Pink Out" as we acknowledge those that are affected by breast cancer."

The All-Time Series
The Horned Frogs and Cowgirls are set to compete for the 14th time in program history Saturday. OSU currently holds a 7-6 advantage in the all-time series and has won four out of the last six meetings.
Last season, then No. 8 TCU closed out its home schedule in style, claiming a 12-8 decision in dramatic fashion over No. 4 Oklahoma State at Turning Point Ranch. On the day, Chantz Stewart and Calli Rouse both claimed MOP accolades in Reining and Horsemanship, respectively, while former Frog Caitlin Ader earned her first MOP in Equitation over Fences to close out her home career.
Home Sweet Home
TCU comes into Saturday with a 10-3 home record at Turning Point Ranch since the beginning of the 2012-13 campaign. Even more impressive is TCU's record against Big 12 competition in Springtown. The Purple and White haven't lost at home to a conference foe since an 11-8 setback to Oklahoma State on Feb. 24, 2013.
Alaska Sensation
Sophomore Kari Hancock has opened the year with a bang as she is currently 3-0 in Equitation on the Flat. Despite coming into the season with only one MOP to her name, the Alaska native has captured three-straight MOP rides. She is the first student-athlete in program history to accomplish that feat.
Scouting TCU
TCU comes into this weekend's conference showdown looking to move to 3-1 on the young season and even its mark in league play at 1-1. The Horned Frogs, who fell to No. 8 in the NCEA rankings this past week, claimed three out of the four MOP's last Friday afternoon, but came up just short, falling to No. 3 Baylor, 11-8.
Individually, several student-athletes have opened the 2014-15 campaign in style on the Hunt Seat side, including junior Nicole Diamantis who has gone 5-1 between Equitation on the Flat and over Fences. Sophomore Kari Hancock has also been solid, capturing three MOP honors in Equitation on the Flat. The Alaska native has now posted four MOP awards during her young career. Finally, senior Kaitlin Perry has recorded a 5-0-1 mark with one MOP between the two disciplines.
On the Western side, returning All-America honoree Erin Gillette has gone 2-1 in Horsemanship with one MOP, while senior Calli Rouse has also been victorious, riding to a 2-0 record in the discipline with one MOP. In Reining, Katelyn Gray got her senior season started on the right foot, leading the way for TCU with a 3-0 mark and one MOP.
Scouting Oklahoma State
No. 7 Oklahoma State, the four-time defending Big 12 champion, comes into Saturday with a 1-1 overall mark and will be looking to capture its first conference win of the season after falling at Baylor, 9-7. The Cowgirls, who have won three-straight Big 12 titles, claimed a 16-4 decision over South Dakota State to open the year before dropping the hard-fought setback to the Bears.
Against Baylor, OSU racked up three out of the four MOP honors. Individually, senior Katie Krshka claimed MOP honors for a second-straight meet against the Bears in Reining, scoring a 69. Last season, the Oklahoma native had 10 MOP's and was an All-America honoree.
