Team Notes
*TCU is now 5-3 in its last eight games against top-five ranked opponents. The stretch began with a Horned Frogs' 17-10 victory at No. 5 Oklahoma in 2005.
*Patterson is now 15-15 against ranked opponents and 7-9 against top-10 squads.
*With Trevone Boykin's 35-yard scoring pass to Kolby Listenbee, the Horned Frogs have had a touchdown drive on their opening possession in all five games this season.
*TCU scored the game's opening 14 points and has held a lead of at least 14-0 in each game this season.
*TCU scored for the 272nd consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and ties Washington (1981-04) for sixth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991 at Texas (32-0).
*TCU has opened the season with at least 427 yards of total offense in each contest for the first time in school history. The Horned Frogs had 485 today.
*B.J. Catalon's 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown gave TCU at least one kickoff return for a score in six of the last 10 seasons.
*In each of the last two games, TCU has scored the most points in its history against both Oklahoma (37) and Baylor (58).
*The Horned Frogs' three-highest scoring games in their history against Baylor have been in their last three trips to Waco (48, 2011; 49, 2012; 58, 2014).
*TCU's team captains were Trevone Boykin, Sam Carter, Joey Hunt and Davion Pierson.
*TCU wore its traditional all-white road uniform with a purple matte helmet.
Individual Notes
*B.J. Catalon totaled 213 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns. He had 48 yards rushing, 71 yards receiving and 94 kickoff return yards.
*Catalon's 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was the second of his career. He had a 100-yard return for a touchdown last season versus LSU. Catalon is the first Horned Frog with two kickoff returns for scores since Greg McCoy had two in 2011.
*Catalon's first half scoring runs of 3 and 9 yards gave him a team-high six rushing touchdowns on the season and 12 in his career. The two rushing touchdowns were a career high.
*Catalon's six rushing touchdowns this season equal his career total from his first two seasons combined.
*Kolby Listenbee recorded his second straight 100-yard receiving game with four catches for a career-high 146 yards and a touchdown. Listenbee had five receptions for 103 yards against No. 3 Oklahoma a week ago.
*Listenbee's first quarter 35-yard touchdown reception was his third scoring grab of the season, tying Josh Doctson and Deante' Gray for the team lead.
*Aaron Green had a career-long 46-yard run to set up a 2-yard Trevorris Johnson touchdown carry on the next snap.
*Green added a 6-yard scoring run as part of his team-high 67 yards rushing on just three carries.
*Johnson's scoring run was his second of the season and of his career.
*Cameron Echols-Luper had a 59-yard completion to Catalon, making him 3-of-4 passing for 108 yards in his career.
*Marcus Mallet's 49-yard interception return for a touchdown was the second straight week a TCU linebacker had a pick six in the fourth quarter. Paul Dawson went 41 yards versus Oklahoma last week.
*Mallet totaled 10 tackles, including a sack, to go with a forced fumble and three quarterback hurries.
*Dawson had a team-high and career-best 18 tackles, including two sacks. It marked the third-most in a game by a Horned Frog in the 14-season Gary Patterson head coaching era. The highest totals were 20 by Martin Patterson (vs. USF, 2004) and Ken Hillard (vs. Northwestern State, 2001).
*Dawson has reached double figures in tackles in three of TCU's five games this season.
*With a forced fumble, Dawson has taken part in a turnover in all five games this season. He now has two forced fumbles, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
*Mike Tuaua recorded his third sack of the season.
*Kevin White posted his first interception of the season in the third quarter, setting up a Jaden Oberkrom 20-yard field goal.
*Oberkrom was 3-of-3 on field goals with makes from 39, 20 and 37 yards. He is now 9-of-12 on the season.
