Team Notes
*TCU is now 4-1 this season and 6-2 the last two years in 11 a.m. kickoffs.
*The Horned Frogs now hold a 4-1 series lead over Iowa State, while Gary Patterson is 2-1 as a head coach versus the Cyclones.
*TCU improved to 98-12 under Patterson when holding a halftime lead.
*TCU is now 28-10 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
*The Horned Frogs entered the game with the nation's longest streak (135 games) for not allowing a kickoff return for a touchdown, dating back to a 2003 contest versus Tulane.
*The Horned Frogs had two sacks, giving them at least two in nine of 10 games this season.
*TCU scored in its 265th consecutive game, the third-longest current streak in the nation and eighth best in NCAA history.
*TCU's team captains were Sam Carter, James Dunbar, Jon Koontz and Casey Pachall.
*TCU wore its traditional all-white road uniform with a purple chrome helmet.
Individual Notes
*Tailback Jordan Moore and defensive end Mike Tuaua made their first career starts. Deante' Gray started for the first time at cornerback. He had a start earlier this season at wide receiver.
*Trevone Boykin's scoring runs of 18, 3 and 1 yards gave him a career-high six rushing touchdowns this season and nine for his career. Boykin had just five carries in the game.
*Boykin's three rushing scores were a career high.
*Aaron Green ran for a career-high 72 yards on 19 carries. He had a 22-yard gain on a 4th-and-1 to keep the Horned Frogs' game-winning drive alive. He ran for 40 yards on the 58-yard drive.
*Brandon Carter's six receptions for 93 yards established a new season high. His previous was five catches at Texas Tech.
*Casey Pachall's 245 yards passing (20-of-36) gave him 4,900 in his career, placing fourth all-time at TCU.
*Paul Dawson's team-high 14 tackles, including two for loss, put him in double figures for the fourth time in the last five games. He has 63 stops in the last five contests.
*Chris Hackett's 11 tackles, including one for loss, tied a career high for the second straight week and fourth time overall.
*Hackett had his third forced fumble of the season with Kevin White making his third fumble recovery of the year.
*Sam Carter recorded his fourth sack of the season, tying Terrell Lathan for the team lead.
*Jon Koontz posted his second sack of the season and of his career.
*Jaden Oberkrom extended his consecutive made PAT streak to 70, second-longest in TCU history and 10th-longest currently in the nation.
*Ethan Perry had a season long 55-yard punt.
