
TCU Takes Second at Gamecock Invitational

FORT WORTH -Shooting their final match of the fall semester, the TCU women's rifle team finished second after shooting a 4,638 at the Gamecock Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State.
TCU fired a team score of 2,295 in smallbore to finish second in the discipline. Hannah Black led the way for TCU with a 579, a mark that was tied for third among all shooters. Sally Li fired a 576 and Claudia Duksacontributed a 573. Duksa's 199 in prone was the top mark in the match. Rounding out TCU's counting team was Jaime Dowd who fired a 567.
Not factoring into the team scores, but tying or setting season highs were Catherine Green (577), Kelly Bogart (576) and Katie Bridges(575). For Bridges, she shot a personal best 197 in kneeling to tie for the best mark in the match.
A similar showing in air rifle saw the Horned Frogs edge out Ole Miss for second place in the discipline after firing a team score of 2,343. Once again, Black paced the TCU shooters with a 589. Li followed with a 587 and Dowd a 586. Green and Allie Taschuktied with a 581 to round out the counting squad.
The Horned Frogs will take a two-month break before resuming action on Jan. 25 at Nebraska.
