Rifle Signs Miles To NLI

FORT WORTH - TCU rifle head coach Karen Monez announced the signing of Mindy Miles to a National Letter of Intent. Miles, a native of Weatherford, will be a freshman in the fall of 2014.
"I am very excited to have Mindy joining the rifle program next fall," said Monez. "She is a talented individual who will no doubt help us next year to be even stronger as a team. Her national level experience and drive to excel will be a great asset to the TCU rifle program."
Miles, a member of the 2013 USA Shooting National Junior Rifle Team, has put together an outstanding resume. She is a two-time Texas State Junior Olympic champion in air rifle. In 2013, Miles added a Texas State Junior Olympic championship in smallbore.
She has competed at the national level as well and earned a bronze medal in air rifle at the Rocky Mountain Rifle Championships in addition to a silver at the 2013 National Junior Olympics. Miles added a bronze medal in smallbore at the National Junior Olympics. Competing at the USA Shooting Nationals, Miles collected a silver in smallbore in the junior division.
