Team Notes
• With the victory, Kansas State takes a 4-3 lead in the all-time series.
• TCU's 21 third-quarter points were its most in a quarter since scoring 31 in the fourth quarter against SMU.
• TCU scored in its 266th consecutive game, the third-longest current streak in the nation and eighth best in NCAA history.
• TCU's team captains were Sam Carter, Jon Koontz, Casey Pachall and Jason Verrett.
• TCU wore its traditional all-white road uniform with a purple chrome helmet.
Individual Notes
• Casey Pachall's 51-yard third-quarter touchdown pass to David Porter gave him 40 career scoring tosses, tying Sammy Baugh (1934-36) for fourth on the Horned Frogs' all-time list.
• Pachall went over 5,000 career yards passing. He's now at 5,148. In the process, he moved past Steve Stamp (5,123, 1978-81) into third on TCU's all-time chart.
• Jaden Oberkrom hit a career-long 56-yard field goal with 2:13 remaining in the fourth quarter. It ties for the second-longest field goal in school history. Steve Mormon hit a 56-yarder against Oregon in 1977.
• Trevone Boykin had his first career punt return with a 3-yard third-quarter return. Boykin capped the drive with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Josh Doctson.
• Boykin also had a 7-yard scoring run to give TCU a 21-17 third-quarter lead.
• Boykin had a rushing and passing touchdown in the same game for the second time this season. He also accomplished the feat against Kansas.
• B.J. Catalon's 71 yards rushing pushed him over 1,000 in his career. He's now at 1,058.
• Catalon's 15-yard second-quarter scoring run was his sixth rushing touchdown of the season. It was also the sixth of his career, tying him with Matt Brown for third among active Horned Frogs.
• At weak safety, Derrick Kindred made his first of the season and second of his career.
• Mike Tuaua had two tackles for loss on Kansas State's opening series.
• Sam Carter had his team-best fourth interception of the season and eighth of his career.
