FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU has sold out its allotment of tickets for Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl contest with Louisiana Tech and has ordered extra tickets to meet the demand.
"It's great to know we're going to be purpling up San Diego over the next few days," TCU director of intercollegiate athletics Chris Del Conte said. "We are excited to see the response from the Horned Frog Nation and thank our students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and fans for the great support.
"A special thank you to those who could not make the trip but provided support through our Project Purple program. This will allow almost 300 military and youth groups from the San Diego community an opportunity to become Frog fans for life."
Wednesday's kickoff at Snapdragon Stadium, previously called Qualcomm Stadium, in San Diego is at 5 p.m. (PST). The game will be televised on ESPN.
