Frogs Fall to Mustangs in 8-3 Decision

FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 7 TCU equestrian team fell to SMU on Saturday in Mansfield. Today's match featured competition in only the hunt seat division as the Mustangs topped the Frogs, 8-3.
In Equitation on the Flat, Jessica Hagen took home the event's MVP title after defeating SMU's Mallory Olson, 74.5-62.5. Sophomore Milana Trimino also took home a victory in the event after scoring a 78.5. Trimino has won eight of her last nine possible points in Equitation on the Flat.
Freshman Taylor Frederick was the lone Frog to earn a victory in Equitation over Fences after topping the Mustangs' Kristen Collins, 81-78. Frederick's win was her seventh of the season.
"We rode very well, but it just did not fall our way today," head coach Gary Reynolds said. "We will continue riding the way we have and will look forward to our next two matches."
