
Frogs fall to Aggies in regular season finale

MANSFIELD, Texas- The TCU equestrian team was edged out 8-7 by Texas A&M in its regular season finale Friday.
Kindel Huffman, who was awarded for her outstanding career before the game, earned MVP honors in Horsemanship and Reining. It was Huffman's fifth MVP of the season in Horsemanship and third in the Reining. For the season, she has 11 total MVPs, a school record.
Thanks in large part to Huffman's efforts, who is now 11-0 in Horsemanship TCU was able to remain undefeated in Western (12-0), as they won the tiebreaker with the Aggies with a raw score of 494.5-494.0 after splitting the Horsemanship and Reining 4-4. Junior Chloe Baker, earned her sixth consecutive victory in the Horsemanship.
In the Hunt Seat, the Frogs who were up against the #2 team in the nation in Hunt Seat, put up a valiant effort before falling 4-3-1. Freshman Jessica Hagen, coming off an outstanding effort against SMU, earned MVP honors in Equitation on the Flat with a score of 82, to earn the Frogs' only point in the event. It was Hagen's first MVP of the season in the event.
In Equitation over Fences, Tassie Munroe had her second straight strong performance, scoring an 82. It was Munroe's highest score in the event since scoring an 85 against SMU on 11/10.
Another Frogs who had an outstanding performance was Lauren Quiroz who tied her high score in the event set 10/6 against Stephen F. Austin.
