FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 6 TCU equestrian team hosts No. 2 Georgia in Mansfield on Saturday.
This weekend's match between the Horned Frogs and the Lady Bulldogs is the third time in program history that the two schools have faced each other.
Last year, TCU defeated Georgia in the finals of the Western National Championship to capture its first-ever national championship crown.
The Frogs won the tiebreaker match, 1027-1026, as Carrie von Uhlit and Ashton Mickunas picked up points in reining.
Saturday's match features sophomores Jessica Hagen, Tassie Munroe and Lauren Quiroz in both hunt seat events. Victoria Lee and Von Uhlit will also start in equitation over fences, while Milana Trimino and Juli Skobel will start in equitation on the flat.
Kelsey Huffman, Chloe Baker and Von Uhlit will start in both western events as Baker looks for her sixth victory in horsemanship.
Also making appearances in horsemanship are Ashley Aikman and Courtney Chown as Chown eyes her third MVP honor in the event.
The reining team also features Jennifer Neel and Ashton Mickunas. It will be Neel's fourth start of the 2008-09 campaign.
"Georgia is a great school and a great team," head coach Gary Reynolds said. "This is the first time we will have Georgia at home and I am anxious to see how we match up against one of the top ranked teams in the nation."
The game starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Fieldstone Park in Mansfield. Complete results will be available on GoFrogs.com.
