
TCU Rifle Picks Up Road Win

Charleston S.C.- The woman's rifle team came away with a victory today by a score of 4635-4462 against The Citadel. Today's win brings the team's winning streak to eight straight regular season victories. Erin Lorenzen led the team in air rifle with a score of 589, while Lauren Sullivan fired a 578 in smallbore. Both Lorenzen and Sullivan tied with 1164 points on the aggregate helping secure the victory for the Frogs.
Lorenzen has remained consistent in air rifle. Last match against the Nevada Wolfpack she shot a 587 while shooting a 589 in today's match. The rest of the team also shot well against the Bulldogs. Lauren Sullivan fired a 586 followed closely with a 582 shot by Simone Riford. Freshman Mattie Brogdon chipped in with a score of 579.
In smallbore, Lauren Sullivan led the Frogs with a score of 578, which is an improvement on her last performance against Nevada. Riford turned in a score of 577 finishing second amongst the rest of the Frogs. Lorenzen and Emily Paper followed with scores of 575 and 569 respectively.
TCU continues its string of four consecutive road matches on October 25th when the team travels to Morgantown W.Va. for a showdown against the Mountaineers.
