TCU releases 2007-08 roster

FORT WORTH, Texas-The TCU Equestrian team released the 2007-08 roster today, a week after tryouts were completed at the team's practice facilities in Mansfield, Texas.
The roster is comprised of 16 newcomers, including World Champions Ashley Aikman, Kylie Knight, Jessica Hagen, Erica Lawrence, and Kelly Morris
Aikman and Knight both won their respective events at the American Quarter Horse World Youth show this summer in Fort Worth.
Hagen is a two time World Champion in the American Paint Horse Competition.
Lawrence is a multiple time world champion, last winning in 2007, when she captured the Reserve World Championship in showmanship.
Morris is another multple time world champion, who last accomplished the feat in 2007 as a 2007 All-Around World Champion Youth 14-18.
Returning from last year's squad are four of the five members that went to the National Championship in Waco, Texas. Highlighting the group is Carrie von Uhlit and Kindel Huffman who tied for first place out of 32 riders in the horsemanship event during the first round of the National Championship.
Other notables included on the roster are:
Morgan Alexander- Was named Girl's Basketball First Team All-District her senior year. Also named team MVP, and set a school record for number of blocks in a game with 13 her senior year.
MC Barr- One of three walk-ons
Allie Huddleston- Been a regular on the West Coast Horse Show Circuit for the past eight years. In 2004, she had her highest finish of 6th place in the California Professional Horsemanship Association.
Kelsey Huffman- Sister of Kindel Huffman, won the 2004 World Youth Reining Championship.
Kim Hunter- One of three walk-ons to make the team.
Ashton Mickunas- One of three walk-ons to make the team
Tassie Munroe- Won five United States Equestrian Federation Reserve National Championships and four USEF National Championships. Nominated for USEF Jr. Equestrian of the Year in 2006.
Jennifer Neel- Was a FFA Horse Judging Team State Qualifier. Name to the Volleyball Academic All-State team as Sophomore.
Lauren Quiroz- Has competed across the nation and won many ribbons and championships in "A" and "AA" rated competitions across the country. Circuit Champion and Circuit Reserve Champion in 2003.
Juli Skobel- Was named MVP of her soccer team in 2005.
Milana Trimino Finished as third runner up in the 2007 Miss Teen California. Won 2007 Miss Teen Orange County.
The Frogs will kickoff the 2007-08 season this Friday as they travel to Auburn as part of a three-day SEC swing. All action can be followed on gofrogs.com
