
Ballard named MWC Offensive Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- TCU quarterback Jeff Ballard has been named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's 38-14 victory over Air Force.Ballard received the honor for the second time in three weeks.
Playing in his final home game, Ballard completed 21-of-26 passes for 234 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. The 80.8 completion percentage was the fourth-best single-game mark in TCU history. In just this season, Ballard has posted three of TCU's top-six all-time single-game completion percentages.
Ballard completed his first 12 passes against the Falcons. His current streak of 125 attempts without an interception is the third-longest in the nation.
The senior from Friendswood, Texas, added a 1-yard scoring run against Air Force for his fifth rushing touchdown of the season.
Ballard is TCU's career leader in winning percentage by a starting quarterback (.900, 18-2) and completion percentage (60.9).
