TCU Head Coach Gary Patterson
Opening Statement...
"Our new motto is beat the odds. This is a new season; we are 2-0 in the second half of the season. Wyoming is a good football team, but the bottom line is we are playing at home. I want to see that team that was ranked No. 15 in the nation four or five weeks ago play. With two healthy tailbacks, it makes a difference. I was impressed with Joseph Turner and Detrick James, too. I give a lot of credit to Jeff Ballard and the offensive line. We knew we were going to have to take some shots tonight to be able to move the football. Quentily Harmon came up with some huge catches and we caught Donald Massey going up the middle on a vertical route and then our speed took course. We've got to be aggressive. There is not an easy game left. I don't care what the score is when UNLV plays on the road. When they play at home it's a lot different."
On his overall feeling of the game...
"We've got a lot of work to do. I was excited for the team because it was probably the most complete game we've played as a team. We still had too many penalties on special teams. We probably would lead the nation in punt returns if we'd quit blocking and clipping in the back. It's not acceptable."
On the defensive performance and sacks...
"We blitzed them and let them loose. Both of our ends are first team all-conference. Last year, the Wyoming game was not on television so you really didn't get a chance to watch the game, but it was a great game. Unless you were there, no one got a chance to watch. It goes to show what you can do when you play with passion. I told them downstairs that that finally looked like the passion of the team I coached last year. Now we are going to have to take that on the road. I think a little bit of it has to do with the fact that finally we are playing every seven days. We are back in a routine."
TCU Safety Brian Bonner
On the interception in the endzone...
"I knew somebody had to make a play. We were all just telling each other to make a play, and fortunately the ball ended up in my hands."
TCU Wide Receiver Quentily Harmon
On your deep catch that was close to being intercepted...
"It was a good fight for the ball. We both had the ball at one point, and I guess I just fought harder for it in the end."
TCU Defensive Tackle Jarrarcea Williams
On both team's defenses...
"Wyoming's defense is great. It was like a heavyweight fight. We just came out and everyone stayed focused."
Wyoming Head Coach Jon Glenn
On the game...
"It was overwhelming, we couldn't touch them. They were too fast for us tonight. We have to give them all the credit. They shut the run down, and when we went back to pass they were waiting for us. It's got nothing to do with our guys, it's all about their guys."
On the Wyoming offensive line against the TCU defense...
"They tried as hard as they could. We couldn't get them. What are you going to do? Jump out, and all of a sudden he comes back underneath. Our guys tried hard, I didn't see anybody quitting."
On Wyoming's ups and downs during the season...
"I don't think there's anything wrong with our team, it's just that the other team was too good. I give all the credit to TCU. We'll bounce back, but we probably won't if we face teams this good, I'll flat out tell you that."
