TCU's victory moved head coach Gary Patterson into sole possession of third place on the Horned Frogs' career win list. He now has 48 victories, breaking a tie with Francis Schmidt (1929-33).
TCU held an opponent scoreless in the first half for the first time this season.
TCU won its 13th straight Saturday game and is now 14-1 on that day over the last two seasons.
TCU is 5-0 this season when holding its opponent to 17 points or less.

Free safety David Roach made his first start since Sept. 28 against BYU. He missed the Oct. 5 Utah game with an ankle injury. He then played but didn't start last week at Army.
Lonta Hobbs' two touchdown carries represented the third straight game in which he's run for a score. He now has 35 career rushing touchdowns, second on the Frogs' all-time list behind only LaDainian Tomlinson (54, 1997-00).
On the ensuing kickoff following Hobbs' first score, Corderra Hunter had the first fumble recovery of his career.

Wide receiver Marcus Brock had a rushing touchdown for the second consecutive week when he scored on a 3-yard third-quarter run.
Brian Bonner's third-quarter interception was his first of the season and fifth of his career, tying him with Elvis Gallegos and Marvin White for the top spot among current Frogs.
