TCU Rifle Schedule Announced

FORT WORTH, Texas (Aug. 2) -- The 2000 TCU rifle schedule has been finalized, according to Head Coach Roger Ivy.
The all-women's team will play another competitive schedule, according to Ivy, with several shoulder-to-shoulder matches as well as several invitational tournaments on the slate. The Horned Frogs will again host a sectional tournament, where teams can qualify for the national championships, which will be held at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in early March.
We have a couple of seniors in Dena Putnam and Michelle Parker who have a chance to qualify for the nationals in both the air rifle and smallbore, along with Jennifer Millner in the air rifle competition, said Ivy.
The women begin practice on August 24 with the first event slated for September 9 at Reno against the University of Nevada. The annual TCU Horned Frog Invitational will be held at the TCU Rifle Range the weekends of October 6-8 and 13-15. Teams such as Memphis, San Francisco, Texas A&M and Centenary are expected to compete with the Horned Frogs for top honors.
