TCU opens league play on Dec. 20 vs. Kansas State
FORT WORTH – The Horned Frogs' bid for a repeat Big 12 Championship begins at home in the advent of Christmas.
TCU and the league office unveiled its complete women's basketball schedule, an 18-game matrix that commences on Dec. 20 against Kansas State.
The Horned Frogs' home slate is bookended by multiple matchups vs. reigning NCAA Tournament teams. Beginning with the conference-opener opposite the Wildcats, TCU welcomes five opponents who reached the Big Dance last season to Schollmaier Arena. The Frogs return to Fort Worth to face Oklahoma State on Jan. 7 following consecutive road games. TCU's final three home games are Sunday affairs vs. West Virginia (Feb. 15), Iowa State (Feb. 22) and Baylor (March 1).
The battle with the Bears signifies the second straight year in which the programs will stage their regular season finale against one another. Last year's season-ending rivalry was the final game of conference play and determined the league's undisputed regular season champion, with TCU earning a 51-48 win in Waco.
TCU's other four home conference games are against Arizona State (Jan. 11), Arizona (Jan. 17), Kansas (Jan. 29) and Houston (Feb. 4).
The collision with the Cougars is one of three home-and-home agreements on the Frogs' schedule. TCU precedes its home games vs. West Virginia and Baylor with visits to Morgantown on Jan. 14 and Waco on Feb. 12.
The Horned Frogs twice play back-to-back road games, starting with a swing through the Beehive State over the New Year's Day Holiday to face BYU and Utah. TCU travels on Feb. 8 to Colorado in advance of its primetime bout at Baylor. The Frogs other in-state road trips take place on Feb. 1 at Texas Tech and Feb. 18 at Houston.
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship runs from March 4-8 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. All 16 teams qualify, with the top-four seeds earning double byes into the quarterfinals. Teams seeded five through eight receive a first-round bye.
TCU's 2025-26 schedule is now complete with the release of its league matchups. The Horned Frogs have 18 home games on tap and open the season on Nov. 6 vs. North Carolina A&T. TCU owns the nation's third-longest home winning streak at 24 games and finished a perfect 21-0 inside Schollmaier Arena last season. The Frogs are four victories away from setting a TCU men's and women's basketball record for consecutive home wins.
Tipoff times and broadcast designations for each game will be announced in the coming weeks.
Season tickets renewals are ongoing and can be purchased through the TCU Ticket Office at 817-257-1849 or online on GoFrogs.com. New season ticket packages and single-game general admission tickets will be made available soon.
