Multiple Frogs to Take Center Stage at CEV European Beach Volleyball Championship

Two current and two former Frogs set to compete
DÜSSELDORF, Germany – Active TCU beach volleyball players Sofia Izuzquiza and Anhelina Khmil are set to join alumnae Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno in the main draw at the CEV European Beach Volleyball Championships at Rochusclub Düsseldorfer Tennisclub in Western Germany beginning on Wednesday.
The CEV European Beach Volleyball Championship is one of the premier international tournaments in the world and features 32 teams from across Europe. Fans can follow along with the three pairs here.
Entering in as the 17th seed, TCU senior Khmil and Valentyna Davidova of Ukraine will begin their journey on Wednesday at 3 a.m. CT and 10 a.m. local time.
Fellow current Frog Izuzquiza will join her partner, Sofia Gonzalez, in Pool D. The pair is set to start their tournament run on Wednesday at 4:40 a.m. CT and 11:40 a.m. local time. Representing Spain, the group was previously on the reserve list but was bumped up into the main draw.
Former Spainard Frogs Alvarez and Moreno team up once again and will kickoff action in Germany at 4:40 a.m. CT and 11:40 a.m. local time.
This event is a continuation of an extraordinarily successful summer campaign for a multitude of Frogs. Many current players have earned championships or podium finishes at various of international events.
