Frogs Earn 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award

Third time in last four seasons TCU has earned the honor

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced on Monday that the TCU beach volleyball team has earned the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award.

The Horned Frogs are one of a record-breaking 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball teams to earn the honor.

To earn the award, a team must maintain a year-long grade point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. TCU's team posted a GPA of 3.634 for the 2024-25 school year.

In addition, 18 Frogs posted a GPA of 3.5 or better during both the fall and spring semesters.

This marks the third time in the last four seasons that the TCU beach volleyball program has received the honor. Every National Champion has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award since 2018.

TCU has already picked up academic awards following the 2025 National Champion campaign, as Daniela Alvarez and Ana Vergara were previously named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Alvarez went on to earn Academic All-America honors from CSC.
