One of eight amateur players selected to compete in biennial event
FORT WORTH – On the heels of an All-American freshman campaign, Camille Min-Gaultier was validated as one of Europe's best amateur talents.
Min-Gaultier was named to the Continent of Europe 2025 Vagliano Trophy Team by the European Golf Association on Wednesday.
The biennial match pits two eight-player teams from the Continent of Europe and Great Britain & Ireland opposite one another.
This year's event runs from June 27-28 at Royal Hague Golf & Country Club in Wassenaar, The Netherlands. The two-day affair features eight foursome matches and 16 singles matches, with 24 points available for both teams.
Selections to play in The Vagliano Trophy, which was incepted in 1931, include a mix of the top players in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) and captains' picks.
Min-Gaultier is making her first appearance on a European team.
She achieved a career high WAGR ranking of No. 72 after advancing to the third round of match play at the British Women's Amateur Championship on June 10-13 in Nairn, Scotland, in her most recent outing.
A product of La Llonde-les-Marues, France, Min-Gaultier transitioned seamlessly college golf in her first season overseas. She was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year and tabbed to the All-Big 12 team in April as the league's highest-rated first-year player. Min-Gaultier ascended as high as 49th in the Scoreboard rankings ahead of the NCAA Tournament. The most consistent player in TCU's lineup, Min-Gaultier posted four top-10's, including three runner-up finishes, and placed no worse than 25th in any tournament. She scored par-or-better in 18-of-35 rounds and led the Horned Frogs in in scoring average (72.2), sub-70's (10) and counters (32-of-35).
Min-Gaultier is expected to compete for Team France in the European Ladies Team Championship on July 8-12 in Paris following The Vagliano Trophy.
