
History Made and Records Broken on Day One of Big 12's

FEDERAL WAY – The TCU swimming and diving team made their mark on day one of the Big 12 Championships, collecting three medals and breaking four school records in a historic night of competition.
THE RUNDOWN
The day kicked off with a record-breaking swim by Filip Suchanski, who set a new school record in the 200 back with an impressive time of 1:40.13.
Finals began with the men's 200 medley relay, where Edgar Cicanci, Jadon Wuilliez, Nigel Forbes, and Peter Horton secured the Frogs first bronze medal of the evening.
On the diving boards, the women's team of Lauren Cey, Anna Kwong, and Leah Fletcher put together an impressive performance, earning a bronze medal with a final score of 284.80.
The men's 800 freestyle relay team of Milan Fabian, Geremia Freri, Luka Cavic, and Luke DiMiceli followed, with a new school-best time of 6:20.58.
The night concluded with a monumental win from the men's diving team. Elliott Dillon, David Ekdahl, and Bryn James made history, breaking the NCAA, Big 12, and school records with a dominant score of 407.45.
TCU will be back in action for day two of the Big 12 Championships on Wednesday, Feb. 26 beginning with prelims at 12 p.m. CT.
