Ashdown, Deighton Make Platform Finals at NCAA Zone D

DALLAS — Izzy Ashdown and Connie Deighton competed at the NCAA Zone D diving meet this week. This marks the second consecutive season the two have represented TCU at NCAA Zones. Prior to last season, no Horned Frog diver had reached NCAA Zones since the 2014-15 season.
Both Frogs finished prelims inside the top 18 to make finals on platform. Ashdown placed 12th (471.00) while Deighton finished 16th (437.40). Ashdown improved her rank by two spots between prelims and finals while Deighton stayed steady at 16th.
Last season, Deighton became the first Horned Frog to reach the final round at the Zone meet since 2009.
