"I am really proud of the girls effort tonight," said head coach Dan Abdalla. "To come into a nationally ranked opponents house and pull out a win is great for our program. The girls put together a great performance tonight against a nationally ranked opponent in Memphis. Both Kelly Johnson and Kristen Barg did a great job tonight and really gave us a spark. That entire freshman group really gave us a spark tonight, which is great. I am proud of the girls. They continue to get better daily and that is all we can ask of them. Overall, it was a good night for us."
TCU came out on the offensive attack at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex as both Jordan Calhoun and Jackie Torda fired shots towards the back of the net early in the match. A few moments later, Calhoun took a cross and tried to connect, but Kuhar-Pitters was up to the task again, saving the ball before it could cross the goal. Sophomore Kim Castleberry got into the offensive attack at the 24:51 mark of the first half, but her shot missed wide left.
Following a corner kick by Alex Mechalske, freshman Kelly Johnson appeared to have scored from inside the box, but Kuhar-Pitters once again was their for the save to keep the score at 0-0 halfway through the first half.

Calhoun just missed connecting at the 60:32 mark when a Lady Tiger defender stepped in front of the junior to derail the shot attempt.
In the 70th minute, Barg posted her second goal of the season darting into the box and sliding it past Kuhar-Pitters off a cross by Kristen Halverson.
