TCU individuals garner accolades as the season inches closer
FORT WORTH – A total of six representatives from the TCU women's soccer program have been tabbed United Soccer Coaches Division I Players to Watch, the organization announced Tuesday.
Three positional watch lists included two Frogs, as Katana Norman and Quinn Cornog were named Division I Defenders to Watch, Morgan Brown and Sydney Becerra were listed as Midfielders to Watch and Seven Castain and Bella Diorio were tabbed as Forwards to Watch. Three of these individuals, Brown, Castain and Diorio, also earned Preseason All-Big 12 honors last week.
Becerra spent the past three seasons at Texas A&M, where she appeared in 60 games for the Aggies, totaling 3,393 minutes on the pitch. Over her career, the Flower Mound native has secured 40 points on 13 goals and 14 assists.
Brown was selected to the All-Big 12 First Team and All-Big 12 Freshman Team in 2024 thanks to her four goals and two assists and consistent presence on the pitch. The rising sophomore played in 22 games, making 16 starts on the year.
Castain earned Fourth Team United Soccer Coaches All-American honors after starting all 23 games and notching 13 goals last season. The 32 points scored by the Draper, Utah, native during the 2024 campaign is good enough for the third most in program history.
