Frogs close out fall conference play undefeated
FRESNO, Calif. – The No.3 TCU equestrian team edge out No. 7 Fresno State with an 11-9 victory in their final Big 12 matchup of the fall season. This win keeps the Frogs undefeated in conference play at 3-0 and moves their overall record to 5-1.
FENCES
The meet kicked off with fences where the Frogs fell short to the Bulldogs, 4-1. Maggie Dumrauf secured the only point for the Frogs in the event with a 78.5 on Blue.
HORSEMANSHIP
In the Horsemanship, Jessica McAllister got things started by earning her point on Ronnie with a 73.25. Elizabeth West followed with a 75.75 on Lucy 2, earning a point for the Frogs. The Bulldogs took the event, 3-2.
REINING
The competition picked back up in the western arena, where Shea Graham earned the first point, with a 70.25 on Dale. Jessica McAllister added another point with her 71 on CJ, while Kylie Baker rounded out the event with a 69.5 on Wagner, giving the Frogs a 3-2 win in the event.
FLAT
The meet came down to the Flat where TCU made a strong comeback, sweeping the event 5-0 over Fresno State. Ashleigh Scully set the tone with a 76.5 on Orion, followed by Laurel Smith's 76.5 on Rocky. Lilly Goldstein, the MOP of the event, kept the momentum going with a 78.5 on Santon. Ella Bostiwck added another point with a 78 on Donut. Alexandra Lipacis sealed the victory for the Frogs scoring a 78 on RB.
UP NEXT
The Frogs will travel to crosstown rival SMU to take on the No. 4 Mustangs on Friday, Oct. 25 at the Dallas Equestrian Center.
