FORT WORTH - TCU's draw for the 2013 Big 12 Men's Tennis Championship was revealed late Sunday night, with the Horned Frogs earning the No. 4 seed. The squad will open the tournament Friday at 9 a.m. against fifth-seeded Texas Tech at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla.
TCU concluded the regular season Sunday with a 17-8 overall record and 2-3 mark in Big 12 play. One of the squad's conference wins was a 4-3 home decision over Texas Tech on April 19. The Frogs made an impressive comeback to win the doubles point against the Red Raiders, which proved to be the difference in the match.
The winner of Friday's TCU-Tech tilt will advance on to a Saturday semifinal matchup with top-seeded Baylor at Noon. The Frogs dropped their regular-season finale at BU on Sunday, as the Bears completed a perfect 5-0 run through their league schedule.
The Big 12 Championship's final match will be played at 1 p.m. Sunday with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, which begins May 10.
