Frogs Continue Action at Southwest Conference Shootout

FORT WORTH - TCU's men's tennis team continued its play as the host of the Southwest Conference Shootout at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Horned Frogs got wins in all four draws of the singles bracket, including Orlando Superlano's win in the A bracket. He was a 6-3, 7-6 winner over Sam Garforth-Bless of Rice. Superlano advanced to the consolation finals in that draw.
JT Sundling added a win in the B draw with his 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 dismissal of Rice's Jonathan Chang. Sundling will play in the championship match of the B draw. Paul Chappell advanced to the consolation final of the C draw when Texas Tech's Gabriel Wanderley was forced to retire while trailing 2-1.
Blake Wiggins of TCU is also in the consolation final match in the D draw. He advanced to that spot via his 6-2, 6-3 win over UTA's Juan Pablo Farah. TCU's lone win in doubles on the day came form Blake Wiggins and Will Stein in the B draw.
The Frogs return to action Saturday at the Southwest Conference Shootout on Friday morning. Play at the Friedman Tennis Center begins at 9 a.m.
