Frogs Complete Play At ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - The TCU men's tennis team ended a stretch of six days of competition at the ITA All-American Championships Wednesday, falling one win shy of reaching the main draw doubles bracket.
Junior Orlando Superlano and freshman Nick Chappell started the day with an 8-5 win against Duke's team of Luke Marchese and Torsten Wietoska. TCU's tandem moved on for the final round of the qualifying draw, but dropped a 9-7 decision to Eric Sock and Andre Stenger from Nebraska. The Frogs had match point and serve for the match at 7-6, but lost control to end the week short.
TCU will now prepare for the USTA Invitational this weekend, Oct. 7-9.
