Frogs Advance To Open ITA All-American Championships

DAY ONE RESULTS
TULSA, Okla. - The TCU men's tennis team had a successful showing to begin play at the ITA All-American Championships Saturday, pushing four players through the first two rounds of the pre-qualifying bracket.
Senior Daniel Sanchez and a trio of freshman earned byes through the first round and followed with victories in the second session. The Monterrey, Mexico product made quick work of Alex Durham from Mississippi in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
Newcomer Nick Chappell also advanced, defeating Oklahoma's Ryan Proctor, 6-2, 6-2, while freshman Will Stein took down Tobias Flood from SMU, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-3. Freshman Balke Wiggins rounded out the evening with a 7-5, 6-1 victory against Jonathan Brooklyn from Hawaii Monoa.
TCU will continue through the prequalifying draw Sunday.
